If you’re looking for a boxer’s workout, find LC. In 2010 he was ranked Top 10 in the world at mixed martial arts. He boasts a winning MMA record with 16 wins, just 4 loses and 0 draws. And he’s not all brawn; he earned a degree in Exercise Science. Now this former conditioning coach is a TITLE Boxing Club boxing, kickboxing and personal trainer.
“After I graduated college I coached college wrestling before moving to Iowa to pursue a professional MMA career. An injury got in the way so I returned home and found TITLE Boxing Club, a place I could put my passion for fitness and sports to work for me,” explains LC.
This all-around athlete has invested a lot of time and energy into sports in general. He’s been competing his whole life, from baseball, basketball and football growing up to wrestling in high school and college to his MMA career. His dedication to sports has instilled a passion in him to develop boxing, kickboxing and MMA skills.
LC’s POWER HOUR classes are 80% boxing and kickboxing striking techniques and 20% calisthenics. He focuses on hitting the bag, and hitting it correctly, putting fighting skills to work to combat calories and flab. While his classes are intense, they are for everyone.
“I encourage anyone to come in and give it a try. They can go at their own pace to start and if they stick with it, they will be going hard without stopping before long. Until then, I’ll be there to teach them how to throw a proper punch and kick and how to put combinations together,” LC explains.
LC continues to reassure new members that taking breaks are ok, as long as they are learning. But make no mistake; he’s also there to push people to their full potential.
“It’s ok to start slow but to reach goals there has to be progress. I try to be hands-on and go to members in class. When space permits, I hold mitts and give members a little bit of private attention in the class,” he says.
If you’re looking for one-on-one attention to take your workout to the next level, LC also offers personal training on the weekends. With LC in your corner, you’ll progress faster by perfecting more difficult techniques while incorporating more advanced strength and conditioning exercises.
You can find LC at the 121st and State Line Road TITLE Boxing Club in Leawood, KS leading boxing and kickboxing POWER HOUR group fitness classes. Weekend personal training is also available, ask the front desk staff for all the details.
