Jim began his martial arts training while serving with the U.S. Marines in Okinawa, Japan in 1975. While stationed there, he studied Shodakan and Kempo karate. Over the next decade as a Marine, Jim studied various fighting arts including close combat and hand–to–hand fighting techniques.

In 2000, Jim earned a black belt in Tae Kwon Do and also studied Judo, Krav Maga and Hap Ki Do. Jim became a Master Instructor in 2004 and taught in Louisburg, Overland Park and Olathe where he proudly developed over 20 black belt students. Jim also taught the Ultimate Bodyshaping Course (UBC), self defense and kickboxing during this time.

You can tap into Jim's extensive experiences as a Marine, football coach, Tae Kwon Do instructor and father of three sons. His firm yet fair and tough but fun total body workout classes are charged with energy, keeping you motivated and moving from beginning to end. Plus, he will focus on your goals, helping you achieve them while you enjoy the journey.
