KNOCKOUTS
About Me:
Name — Kyle
Occupation — Network Administrator / Volunteer Firefighter
I live in: — Blue Springs, Missouri
When I'm not hitting it hard at TITLE Boxing Club, I'm: — Golfing or mountain biking.
About my experiences at TITLE Boxing Club:
When did you join TBC?
April 15, 2009
Traditional Handwraps or Handwrap Gloves?
I use the handwrap gloves. I am not patient enough for the traditional.
What is your #1 reason for joining TITLE Boxing Club?
Honestly, I got on this MMA/Kickboxing kick and checked out the website and thought, "I should give this a try. Maybe lose a few pounds." After my first Power Hour I was hooked.
What is your goal?
Weight loss, Toning, Overall health and Stay in shape
What goals have you already achieved?
After one month at Title, I have noticed that clothes are starting to fit a little better. My energy level has increased. I really don't need an alarm clock to wake me up anymore.
How much weight have you lost?
In one month I've lost five pounds. Jason at the Lee's Summit location said it goes, "Energy, Inches, then Pounds," so I know the best is yet to come!
What is your favorite workout (boxing/kickboxing)?
I am a fan of the kickboxing. I like the combination of the punch/kicks.
What is your favorite workout technique?
It is the punck-kick combos for sure. Nothing like beating the crap out of a heavy bag after a stressful day at work.
What part of the POWER HOUR workout do you enjoy the most:
Warm-up, Punching/kicking, Core Strengthening with medicine ball, Abs, Stretch, Cool Down, When it's Over
How did you feel after your first workout?
Oh man....I was a hurting unit for like three days. The second day I had a hard time walking down stairs. Each step was followed by a grunt, "Ooo, or ouch!"
How do you feel after your workouts now?
Awesome! I am tired, but ready for more. I am only sore if something new has been thrown into the core strengthening mix. I use to have some back pain and that has since cleared up.
How often do you hit the gym?
I started going three times a week, but took the summer off from school so I could go four times a week.
What keeps you coming to the club?
Jason Lawson has really put together a good kickboxing class. When I go to the power hour workouts I feel like I am working out with a team. Like we are all in it together. The energy level after the workout is amazing. Even after I sweat my butt off I am ready for more!
What advice would you give to a new Member about the POWER HOUR workouts?
Everyone should try it out just once. Sure you are going to be sore the first time, but that lets you know it is working for you. I have been a member at many large gyms for many years and have received little to no results. I can tell you that if I am this excited about it after just one month then I cannot wait to see how excited I will be after one year. New members should be ready with an open mind and be ready to hit it hard! You will have the workout of your life each and every time!
