Brandon boxing club, Red Robin, and handmade soap shop open

BRANDON — Sometimes you might feel like hitting something. But almost always, you don't feel like getting hit yourself.

Starting Saturday, Brandon's newest fitness club will offer you a chance to hit things and get a great workout in the process.
Title Boxing Club offers non-contact training in boxing and kickboxing. All instructors are former professional fighters, but Title members will be punching heavy bags, not each other.

"Our goal is to have you burn 1,000 calories during each class," said Amy Ray, who owns Title Boxing Club with her sister Kim Nofsinger.
The gym will offer 30 one-hour classes each week, and members can attend as many or as few as they choose. They can use 60 heavy bags during classes and other equipment when classes aren't in session.

There's one instructor per class, and class sizes can vary from a few students to several dozen, depending on who shows up.

It's a formula that has proven successful across the country. The first Title Boxing Club opened in Kansas just a few years ago, and now there are 40 clubs around the country. Nofsinger opened Tampa Bay's first Title Boxing Club in Carrollwood in July, and she and her sister are looking to establish as many as 11 more in this area in the near future.

Title Fitness Club is at 889 E Bloomingdale Ave. in Bloomingdale Square at the corner of Bell Shoals and Bloomingdale Avenue. It's open from 6 a.m. until 8 p.m. Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. Saturday, and 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. Sunday.

Call (813) 443-0865 or visit titleboxingclub.com for information.

Grand opening specials are available for members who sign up soon.
